Experienced Leadership for Sustainable Growth

The Issues

Strong Professional Leadership

Steve’s 30+ years of growing multi-million-dollar businesses, coupled with his expertise in strategic management and leading large teams, prepare him to provide the strong, professional leadership Bentonville needs.

Leadership for Growth

Manage Growth

To expand housing options and ease traffic, Steve will focus on upgrading Bentonville’s infrastructure, ensuring roads, utilities, and essential services keep pace with our city’s growth.

Strategic Infrastructure Overhaul

Ensure Public Safety

Steve will support our first responders, ensure comprehensive disaster planning, and make our streets safer for everyone, whether they’re driving, cycling, or walking.

Support First Responders

Vision For Bentonville

  • Traffic, Roads: Steve will make tackling our traffic problem a top priority as mayor. He will use an all-of-the-above approach to ease congestion, including investing intelligently in new roads and expansions, advocating for more state and federal support, prioritizing dangerous intersections and areas where traffic consistently bottlenecks, as well as planning years ahead to address the problem ahead of time, rather than delay and respond when it’s an emergency.

  • Public Safety:  Steve will always have the back of our law enforcement officers and first responders. As mayor, he will ensure our police and fire are well funded and equipped to do their jobs safely and be there when Bentonville needs them.

  • Economic Development:  Steve is pro-business.  As a business leader, he will use his experience to support local businesses and attract new ones to fund city investments and improvements. He will put his business background to use by maximizing public-private partnerships that can multiply what the city could do alone.

  • Infrastructure Improvements: Leveraging expert advice, Steve will work to increase sewer capacity to support future growth. Without improving our sewer and infrastructure, Bentvonille cannot build the housing and business expansions we need to continue to grow responsibly.

  • Fiscal management: Steve is a fiscal conservative. As mayor, he will watch every taxpayer dollar that is spent, just like he did in business, and end wasteful spending. The city has increased many taxes and fees in recent years, adding to the burden of inflation and rising costs. Steve is pledging not to raise a single tax or fee when he is elected mayor.

  • Housing:  Steve will work to increase housing supply to solve the housing crisis by removing unnecessary red tape and delays in City Hall, and working with developers and other stakeholders to streamline the building process. The City of Bentonville has made it much more difficult, costly, and time-consuming to build in recent years, which has increased the cost to builders that ultimately we’re all paying the price for.

  • Bentonville Charm:  Steve will protect and grow our parks, trails, and outdoor recreation amenities that are enjoyed by Bentonville residents and tourists alike. Small-town feel with big city amenities is a priority for Steve.
